Toilet Training

Today is Bad Poetry Day (thanks for the heads up, Digital Annie), so I thought I’d share what I consider to be one of the worst poems I’ve ever written. Feel free to agree with me in the comments; I won’t be offended, believe me.

It’s so twee, Dledee and Dledum don’t want it back.

Life is like a nappy;
occasionally it’s crappy.
Turn that little round bum –
it’s smiling, not glum;
so change it, and be happy.

    Not a bad poem at all, Tilly. It’s actually the quintessential example of positive thinking. It kind of reminds me of Mark Twain’s famous quip “Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.”
